The comfort of candlelight in everyday life

Cocooning ("comfort, well-being, and togetherness") isn't just about taking a bath with a candle and a book. It's a lifestyle. In our daily lives, we enjoy candles at home. Whether it’s in the evening, during a card game with friends, with family around a good meal, in front of the computer while working remotely, while practicing your musical instrument, or while cooking, every moment is a good time to enjoy the glow of a candle.

The effect is soothing. It’s a comforting tool used all over the world. In Denmark, a country ranked as having the happiest people globally, the key to happiness lies in the small details of everyday life. Candles and their light are an integral part of their daily routine.

According to a study, Danes burn an average of 6 kilograms of candle wax per person per year. It's amazing! You find them everywhere—in offices, in school classrooms, at home, everywhere! A beautiful obsession linked to emotional comfort. Yet, like here in Canada, it’s a country that experiences harsh and long winters. But through a set of rituals, they’ve managed to earn the title of the happiest people on the planet. This is the concept of “hygge.”

If you haven't yet experienced the joy of candles, you have to try them! Lima Eco candles are made from soy wax, which burns very slowly and provides hours of enjoyment. An average candle lasts up to 50 hours. Check them out!
